Sunshine, Showers and Sunshine again.
That was the order of the day on August 10th at the James Jamieson Construction sponsored 30th Annual Pro-Am at the McDonald Golf Club.
Greig Hutcheon (Paul Lawrie Golf Centre) won the professional prize for a fourth time with a 4 under par round of 66.
The McDonald Golf Club (Mens) team of Neil Ferguson, John Howland and Ronnie Wells led by professional Patrick McKenna (Portlethen GC) took the team prize with a score of 121.
A 2 hour rain delay mid - afternoon had halted play but thanks to some great work from Head Greenkeeper Bill Shepherd and his staff the 28 team strong field were able to resume and complete their round.
This was much to the relief of Pro-Am Convenor Colin Grant ‘It was touch and go as to whether the rain would force us to abandon for the day’ said Grant ‘but thankfully it relented and we got there in the end’.
