The senior male members (aged 55 or over) participate in the Central Aberdeenshire District Senior (CADS) competitions. The fixtures are arranged at each club May- September. Clubs involved are : Alford, Dunecht, Ellon, Huntly, Insch, Inverurie, Kemnay, Kintore, Newmachar, Oldmeldrum, Peterculter, Portlethen, Tarland & Westhill.
Teams consist of 11 qualified players at most clubs with the exception of Dunecht which allows a maximum of 7 and Tarland which allows a maximum of 9. Players in excess of the clubs ‘quota’ are known as Z players & their tee times are at the discretion of the host club.
Individuals do not need to join the CADS, the club is a member and if you wish to play at one of the venues you add your name and CDH Number to the list on the Seniors Noticeboard and pay the entry fee at the venue.
From 2020 the CADs committee have instituted a change concerning handicaps. In previous years each players scores only affected CADs, however, this year all scores will be put on the computer and individual handicaps affected after each CADs match. In order for this to happen all players will need to submit their Scottish Golf CDH personal number when they put their names up to play any/every CADs match. This includes Z players.
CDH Number to find your number, you should all have a Scottish Golf Membership Card (see below) these were issued in 2014. If you can't find your card and don't know your number contact the office.
