Well what can I say about the 2020 season!
We got off to an excellent start by hosting a highly successful pre-season fundraiser, our 3rd annual beetle drive, on Tuesday 3rd March. We are grateful for the support of both Cruden Bay and Oldmeldrum members at this event. A total of £445.00 was raised for club funds, thank you to all the ladies who supported the event.
At the Ladies 2019 AGM it was proposed that we increase our entry fee for our winter eclectic and split the fees between the winners and a nominated charity. Thank you to all the ladies that entered and confirm that £65 was donated to the Friends of the Neuro Ward at ARI.
Once we had come out of full lockdown and were able to get golfing again we had a number of ladies golfing throughout the season, and held weekly stablefords or medals to give them some competition. All of the medal and stableford winners will be carried over to 2021 to compete in their respective finals at the end of the season.
The Championship Finals Day on 25th July was a much quieter affair this year but saw Fiona Campbell win the McDonald Cup and Zena Gourlay win the Margaret Morgan Trophy.
Hopefully we can compete for all the other trophies again in 2021!
