HOUSE AGM REPORT

The House Committee meets once a month. It comprises the Club Administrator, Social Convenor, Professional, Bar Supervisor, Caterer, Club Secretary and the House Convenor.

Bar

Our bar staff under Tracy’s supervision, have been kept very busy again this year.  My thanks to Barbara, Caleb, Chloe, Gemma, Gillian, Hannah, Julie, Susan and of course Tracy herself for their commitment and hard work during the past year. They were ably assisted over the Easter, summer and festive periods by Abbie and Kate. Jim O’Brien and Alan Barker also supported the bar staff in times of need. Unfortunately, both Susan and Barbara decided to leave us during the past year. Club members recognised their contribution to the Club with collections raised for both ladies.

Catering

There was an external inspection by Aberdeenshire Environmental Health which focused on a risk assessment document known as HACCP which had not yet been completed. A notice was served on the Caterer requiring this document to be completed to the satisfaction of the Inspecting Officer within 8 weeks. This was achieved and a notice confirming this was duly received. At no time were catering operations compromised by this intervention.

Gardens and Carpark

John Geddes, our gardener continues to look after the garden and parking areas around the Clubhouse. He still assists the Greens Team as and when required.

My grateful thanks go to the numerous members who help with the minor but nevertheless essential maintenance tasks in and around the Clubhouse.
