Team Competitions

The ladies section would like to thank Pat Fox for sponsoring the purchase of new team t shirts, and the club for buying new team slipovers, they are much appreciated and have been worn many times this year.

Bennachie League - Ellon ladies had a great year finishing in 3rd place. The Bennachie League Annual Dinner was held at Kemnay Golf Club on the 29th September where 6 Ellon ladies attended.  Thanks to Dot Mackinnon and Helen Cooper for organising both home and away matches.

County Golf – Ellon remain in Division 1, this is a great achievement for the club as only 5 ladies are members of the County competing against Aberdeen Ladies, Murcar, Kemnay and Duff House. Nicola Fraser secured first place at the Ellon ALCGA meeting which raised £381 for club funds. A huge thanks must go to Joan Forbes who has served as Ellon Rep for the last 10 years, she has now stepped down and the County Members are extremely grateful for all her hard work over the years.

Robertson Cup – The final was played against Meldrum House at Duff House on the 24th September where the Ellon Ladies won 6-2, many thanks to the caddies and supporters who came along on the day. The previous home and away matches saw wins against Newburgh, Cruden Bay and Inverurie, there were 13 ladies who played in all the matches. This is an amazing achievement for the section.

Buchan Seniors - Thanks to Andrea Thomson our Ellon Rep. A few of our ladies have featured in the prizes out and about.  Unfortunately the Ellon meeting had to be called off on the day due to the weather and the number of cancellations.
