The 22nd McDonald ProAm took place on Friday 30th July. Sponsored by local company Asset Brokers International, the event attracted 33 teams and a strong field of professionals including 17 of the top 20 Order of Merit. On the day, the sun shone with just a few showers to dampen the spirits. The course, beautifully prepared by Head Greenkeeper John Geddes and his staff provided a good test with eight of the professionals shooting below par (including our own Ross Cameron who shot 68). Chris Kelly (Cawder) and Grieg Hutcheon (Banchory) shared first place after carding 4 under par 66. The team prize went to Surelift with a score of 120 (20 under par), second on 121 were Three Kings and Ron Mackie Cars were 3rd also on 121.
My thanks to everyone involved in making the ProAm such a successful day.
