| At almost 6000 yards, with a par of 70 (Ladies 73), this testing golf course is laid out in such a way that it is enjoyable to play no matter the standard of your golf. It provides a real challenge for the Tartan Tour Professionals who annually play in our Pro-Am and yet is a firm favourite with the occasional golfer who enjoys a weekend walk in pleasant surroundings. The longer front nine has a par of 37 and makes full use of its natural stream and gentle slopes to pose a whole host of problems for the thoughtful golfer. |
| In particular, the 395 yard eighth hole has the stream running across its fairway at just on driving range and if the golfer decides to lay up short, then the second uphill shot requires one of those ' once a season' swings. |

The ducks and fish that inhabit the stream make an interesting talking point for those who are not having the best of rounds. The shorter back nine has a par of only 33 but woe betide any golfer who believes the hard work is over. |
| The tree lined fairways put a high premium on accuracy - no more so than at the last two holes which dogleg through very narrow gaps. Local players can often be overheard in the nineteenth reminiscing about the wonderful score they had after sixteen holes. With holes like these, golf provides those never ending challenges that keep us coming back, week after week. |
